“Transport soil?” Didn’t that mean to take something from one place, and put it in another? But how did you do that if soil was dirt? Silver had thought all dirt was the same, it certainly looked the same to him! But that must not have been the case. “It sounds hard but it sounds like fun, too. Kinda like the wooden thing that makes music.”
That had taken him an unimaginable amount of time. Much longer than just one year. But now that he was so good at it, playing the violin was one of the best recreational activities he could think of. “I’ve never had a book before, but I like pictures!”
“Yup. You put it in a container and carry it where you want to plant the tree. Here, I’ll give you one of my own soil containers.”
Rebecca went into her bag and took out a large aluminum can with a plastic top. Inside was soil filled to the top along with a few leaves for fertilizer. She carefully handed it to him with a smile.

“Here. This can get you started. If you can find a large pot or vase, you can grow it in there. And it can be a lot of fun if you like it. The pictures’ll definitely help then. They’re photos of poisonous plants so you know what do avoid. It’s even organized by petal and leaf color.”
Which was very useful to the trainer, as she roughed it in the wilderness quite a bit.
