“Yeah… everyone deserves kindness.” That was a belief Silver would hold true to until the day he died. He performed a similar gesture, tail wagging when he finished the amazing treat he had been given the chance to experience.
Now he felt warm, and comforted. Rain outside, even during the daytime, suddenly didn’t seem so bad. It meant you could stay inside, and talk about things. “I’ll never be able to thank you for all the kindness you’ve shown me.”
“Yup.”

“Oh Silv, you don’t have to.”
Rebecca would be content with Silver living well. That would be enough thanks for her. She got up to go put her mug in the sink to wash it off, her slippers tapping on the floor.
“Would you like anything else to snack on or do you wanna head upstairs to pick out some clothes after I’m finished up here?”
