That disappointed look quickly turned to one of surprise. It took a few moments for what was going on to click. 

‘You can hear me?’

If their telepathy was working then surely everything else had to be too. Holding their head in their hands they started to focus. Other than further straining their self and making the headache worse they didn’t accomplish much. 

“Either that or I’m hearing voices in my head.”

“Ah, don’t try anything yet- That warning’s probably too late.”

She gently rocked the little Pokemon in her arms, looking very concerned for their health. Rebecca got the rag again and gently dabbed their face with the soft rag to help soothe the headache.

“Little one, that was a bad idea. Everything is probably coming back on a little bit at a time. Trying to strain yourself will only delay it further. Rest for now. Please?”
