Defeated, he hung his head, a heavy frown on his face. Silver took in a breath, and released, raising a shaky hand, and accepting the other’s gesture of kindness.
“It just… doesn’t feel like it. Maybe I’m being selfish, I don’t know. I’m just really confused right now.”
"It’s okay, Silv.”
Rebecca got up on her knees and gently pulled Silver into a warm hug.

“You have the right to be selfish. You have the right to be confused. You have the right to feel whatever your heart feels. I’ll be here for you all the way.”
She took off her headphones, revealing faint, faded scarring inside them. Rebecca was quiet now, unable to hear the other unless he yelled.
