Damn, he had been spotted again. It seemed as if the number of encounters he had been having with humans had doubled, maybe even trippled recently. Partly, he cursed his curiousity for it, partly it appeared he simply had grown too careless. Either way, both habits were nuisances he would have to get rid of in the future if he wanted to remain unrecognized. With a swift, elegant movement he turned around, ready to take off into the distance to leave this girl behind for good. However, then she talked and what she was saying had Mewtwo freeze on the spot.
A grown-up version of the Pokémon she took care of.. What was that human speaking about? He was the only one, the only Mewtwo, the only … copy. That was right, as much as he hated it, in the end he was nothing but a copy – and copies could be produced infinitely. And yet, could it really be possible that there had been several attempts to create a clone of Mew? Hadn’t he destroyed all of the Data about his origins, erased all of the participants memories? Even killed them when he had destroyed the laboratory after first awakening? Or … was this the work of an entirely different group of people trying to achieve the same goal perhaps?
Whatever the reason, this human probably was the only one that could give him the answers he was so desperately seeking now. Slowly, he turned his head at the girl, his purple eyes cold as ever. “What are you talking about, human?” He didn’t trust and care for her enough to use her first name yet. “There is no other of my kind. You must be mistaken.”

As she was used to those eyes, seeing them from Zekrom the majority of the time.

“I’m pretty sure the little one I take care of looks like a baby version of you. Same shade of fur, same kind of tail. Though before their powers overloaded, they pretty much floated everywhere.”

The trainer looked thoughtful for a moment before spreading her hands out as if to measure something.

“They were about maybe the size of a Pikachu, maybe a little bigger when they stretched out, remnants of bruises from needles along with evidence of malnutrition due to IV feeding. I’ve been doing my best to take care of them but they didn’t seem to understand that Pokemon experimentation has been illegal and deplorable in the regions for many years now or that how they were treated was wrong.”
