‘I’m…not used to…this…sorry…’ was the shaky reply, slightly not readable but the quiet whispering that went with it was slightly more audible than usual.

Kin just wanted to pull away and hide, just hide until he stopped bleeding. He had never had help with injuries before and he wasn’t sure if he liked it or not considering how much it seemed to hurt. But he wasn’t going to run and hide, he knew he was safe with Rebecca no matter how many times he made weak attempts to pull away from her. She was helping him after all…

“It’s alright, Kin. It’ll be okay. I promise it’ll help.”

Rebecca gently worked until the Rawst extract thinly coated the burn and she got out soft cloth bandages. She put those to the side and took out several pieces of gauze, gently holding them against the bleeding so it would stop. She moved her other hand to gently rest it on Kin’s head.

“I’m almost done. I just have to stem the bleeding and bandage it up.”
