[~☪~] Shinjiro glanced up at the young lady who had soon began to complain about the teens in the corner who were eating their meals, and talking about something that seemed important. He couldn’t help raising an eyebrow.
“I think whoever ends up hearing what they are talking about, they kind of brush it off, considering even you don’t really understand what it is they are speaking of.” His hands hadn’t stopped moving, as he was finishing up the next order on his list of tickets.
Rebecca let out a huff in response, eating some more before quietly speaking again.
“It’s confusing the shit outta me, honestly. One minute, they’re talkin’ about stuff that I swear is straight out of Dungeons and Dragons. The next is freakin’ Jungian psychology.”
“They’re not like this in school though, which is why I thought it was odd. We’re not learning psychology in class at all.”
“Twice and both were for good reason. Those Pokemon wanted to leave to go other places, and I made sure it was what they wanted, so I let them leave. They come back to visit sometimes, but they’re happier.”
Rebecca thought about that for a bit before finally answering.
“I was never been able to make friends with a Zorua actually. I didn’t want to force it, but I never actively sought one out either. I forgot about that ‘til now, huh.”
She was scared, and he knew it. Pulling her into his arms, he softly and silently hugged her, letting the soft noise and feeling of his heartbeat calm her down. He wouldn’t let there be another incident, whether it be a murder, or a kidnapping. He had to solve this case.
The vibration of Yosuke’s heartbeat calmed her as she wrapped her arms around the other. She was afraid, for both him and herself.
“…I don’t want to lose you. I’m scared you’ll be next…”
