Initiation had completed, and every student had made it back to Beacon relatively unharmed. No deaths during initiation was a win in Ozpin’s book. Calling everyone back to the main hall where his welcoming speech was held, Ozpin began to speak once more to all the students as a whole.
“Welcome back, all of you. First off, I would just like to congratulate every student here for making it back from initiation in one piece. It was no easy feat, especially after the sudden Grimm attack in the middle of the event. But I digress. Now then, I do believe it’s time for me to assign you all your teams. The teams you shall work with and live with for the next four years. I do hope you all can get along.” He began, clearing his throat before beginning to call up the first few students.
i will not be held. i will not be collared, leashed or muzzled, i will not heel, i will not walk silent beside you to put on a show. i will roar, i will howl, i will snarl and bite and scream until you know how wild i really am.
oh. oh, oh, o h. wow, that’s—-alright, it wasn’t exactly what he was expecting. and holy shit is she fired up. there’s a gleam of appreciation hiding somewhere in his soul, but he holds his hands out in surrender. while that touches his heart, he doesn’t wanna get her upset over this.
“hey—-hey, calm down, becks. don’t—-don’t worry about them, okay? a little bit of shit talking doesn’t hurt my feelings.”
—-much.
“It might not hurt your feelings but they’re still asshats for talkin’ like that!”
Rebecca let out a fiery huff, her eyes blazing sapphires as she wrapped her arms around Yosuke’s torso, clinging somewhat like a koala.
“I wanna give ‘em a good punch in the teeth. You’re a huge sweetie pie and they can just fous le camps. Maybe even mange de la merde too.”
Then she started muttering various things in French, huffing once in a while.
came up to me today sayin’ that ‘Hanamura’s no good’ and that I need to ‘get away from him ASAP’. I just kinda stared at her for a good three minutes before she finally got to the point and tried to tell me some bullshit about how Hanamura-kun’s got his eye on ‘Kasumi’.”
“I kinda just ‘I don’t know who the fuck Kasumi is. Why do you care?’ and she got all huffy at me like I’m supposed to be appreciative that she’s tryin’ to shove a wedge between me and Hanamura-kun. ‘Well I was just trying to help!!’ she said and ‘hmphed’ and left.”
Rebecca grumbled various French swears as she plonked her forehead on the table.
“If I had known there’d be a morceau de merde tryin’ to be a dipfuck once a week, I would’ve tackled Hanamura-kun sooner! I’ve seen some fuckin’ pricks at my old school but those people take the entire fuckin’ cactus.”
“Bardot-san, are you certain that you are okay venturing between my home and Rise-san’s?”
It was not a long trip, and, other than the attack from Yamata-no-Orochi, this area had been mostly safe… And yet, Naoto still felt the need to worry. If a creature like that serpent struck again while in transit between the two strongholds, it would no doubt be disastrous. “I appreciate your coming to check on things here, but, surely it would be safer to stay with Rise-san and Susano’o?”
“Eh? Yeah, I’m A-okay.”
Rebecca tapped her hilariously large naginata to her shoulder, a grin on her freckled face. Sapphire blue eyes glanced up at the surprisingly clear sky before she looked back at Naoto.
“It’d probably be safer, yeah. I can take care of myself though, y’know? Suzy busy bein’ Rise-chan’s lil guard, they’ll be fine.”
She wasn’t some tiny princess to be locked up in a tower and never come out after all. The blonde was a fighter. She’d fight and protect as long as she needed to.
