Indigo couldn’t help but purr loudly from how warm and soft everything was. Pulling some of the blanket back they patted the bare spot. Silently asking her to lay down too.
“Gimme one sec to fold up your new hoodies, Indigo.”
She did so, very carefully folding the new clothes and putting them on the coffee table before carefully climbing up onto the pillow bed next to Indigo.
“I knew I made the right choice for the pillow bed. It’s so comfy!”
Yeah! I’m really happy too! I’m not all better but I’m getting there, that’s for sure.
-Heat chirped out, tilting his head so he could get comfy there.-
Thank you! Clyde helped out a lot! They get really feisty sometimes though.
They do have quite a lot of berries most of the time, but it takes a lot of skill to pick them! I’m not sure how you pick all of them like you do!
-Heat then took to giving Rebecca a big lick, right on her neck. The reason why, was just because he wanted to, tail wagging consistantly back and forth.-
“That’s the good thing, Heat. You get to feel a lot more energetic and y’can stay awake longer.”
Rebecca got herself comfortable on the ground, her bright smile never fading as she held her friend close.
“I guess they just like me a lot then, they’re very well behaved on my end.”
Of course, she had no idea what the other was talking about but she went along with it regardless. Than came the lick and she let out a startled squeak before gently smooshing Heat’s cheeks.
“What kinda of berries are those? I’ve never heard of them before.”
He quickly followed her inside and into the kitchen. It seemed like a nice place from what he saw so far.
“I grow ‘em myself, they’re like fruit but a little smaller.”
“And half the time, they’re much, much sweeter, depending on the berry.”
She gently tossed a few Pechas and Orans into the blender before taking off her headphones and motioning for the other to cover his ears before turning the blender on.
Looking over their eyes went wide. Teleporting out of the blanket over to the present. Indigo just stared at the large gift for a couple minutes before tearing into it. Once they were done they were very confused.
‘A Pokemon?’
“You’re half right. It’s a giant pillow bed, just for you.”
“Go ahead and land on it. I got the softest one.”
The champion saved up a ton to get it for her little charge, it made all her hours at the League worth it.
-Heat purred, closing his eyes. Leaning in to her touch like a kitten.-
It is a more sufficient amount than previous days. I have had what my stomach could bare for a while, and have kept it there for a while.
Yes. And Yes, they sprouted. They grew into a large mixture of trees in the plant room, and they do enjoy Clyde so it seems.
They got along with the other plants, which is pleasant to know.
I’ve already been getting a fine work out, I always jog around the labs in the mornings.
-He said, snuggling into the crevasse of her neck happily.-
“Good. I’m happy you’re getting to be so healthy.”
“I’m glad you took such good care of them, Heat! I’m so proud of you for giving them so much love and care.”
Rebecca softly laughed, Heat’s fur tickling a bit as she knelt down to hug him better.
“Once you grow berry trees, they sprout berries as long as you take care of them. And they can grow to be super huge too, which increases how many berries you can get from them.”
-He didn’t really know if he got her since he wasn’t really looking in her direction, putting his focus on the berries.
Heat was somewhat surprised when Rebecca ruffled his fur, blinking as if she had brought something not so safe for children into the conversation. He would have looked up to her, but he didn’t. He was afraid one of the berries would fall if he glanced away for too long.
Giving a short nod when she gave him the order. Holding the basket up a bit higher, and glancing briefly along where he was, and where she took the basket. Following along like a duckling, and placing the basket carefully on the table, stepping back with his hands out in case any of the berries decided they wanted to fall after he set the basket down.
Walking backwards for a moment, suspicious on whether one would fall or not. Before turning around to go get another basket outside.-
I will get the rest, if you start on washing them Rebecca!
-He said, as he did a short jog outside.-
Rebecca nodded with a bright smile, going to open the berry compartment of her fridge before turning on the water. She took several berries to the sink, gently washing them under the water while picking off any stray leaves and twigs.
“Once you get them all inside, y’can help me put ‘em all away in storage after I wash ’em. I’ll leave a few Pechas and Orans over for the smoothie though.”
“You’re doing a great job, Heat. I’m glad I have such a wonderful helper while Indigo and Kin are out.”
Using their powers Indigo wrapped their self up in the sky blue cloth until they looked like a floating ball before touching down in the trainer’s lap.
“Mewtwo!”
The Pokemon was so excited they forgot to speak mentally but their excitement was easy enough to understand.
Rebecca looked down at her little charge before getting a smile on her face.
“You are one adorable little blanket burrito. Aren’t you going to open the last of your presents? The big one against the wall.”
-Heat chirpped, hopping to follow her. Looking down to the berries he picked up, the basket was a bit too full for his likeing. But, that didn’t matter all too much. He just had to make sure none of them fell out. Perking his ears to listen to his friends words.-
Sounds like the ingredient that will get me into bed with you tonight.
-Heat stuck his tongue out, referencing something to himself. An inside joke for him, if Rebecca understood it she’d get a cookie later on. Going along with his basket, and keeping his eyes on the berries so he could tilt it in case any wanted to roll off the top.-
Rebecca choked on air before chuckling, thankful her headphones didn’t show her ears turning a nice red color. Her face, however, was free game for her bright blush.
“If you wanted a sleepover, you should have just said so, ya big dork.”
She expertly balanced the basket before gently ruffling Heat’s quills.
“I did get a new futon while you were gone. It’s much bigger and takes up a lot more room but it’s really warm and cozy.”
The champion slid open the kitchen door to carry the basket inside and put it on the table.
“Put yours on the table too, then we can get the next ones.”
