“There’s not enough of a difference in how many heads can explode if they pull a set of puppy eyes on someone.”
And he did was just peep again, numming on the berries he had with happy loud purring to boot.
“So cute.”
She gathered up the washed berries and put them in the fridge, oddly not off balance by Kin on her back.
One happy peep would be heard by Rebecca as Kin gently took the berries and proceeded to nibble happily.
‘Darn right I’m a cutie.’
“You’re precious too.”
She gave his nose a gentle boop and smiled bright.
‘Well okay then, seems logical to me.’
And Kin just. Climbs on her back. He just. Is clinging to her.
He’s happy at least.
That just happened.
Rebecca stood back up and went back to washing the berries at the sink, giving Kin a pecha or two to nibble on.
“Haha, you’re a cutie.”
retiredforeignmaster said: “Kin? What’s up?”
‘I…don’t know.’
“I don’t know either.”
“Well if it said we can’t separate, hop on.”
Rebecca was knelt down, offering her back to Kin.

–They went to get Wally’s suitcases then said goodbye to the emotional parents then they were outside as Wally held the ralts close to his chest and nuzzled into him gently.
When Marshmallow landed on the ground as Wally’s eyes widened in awe with the ralts peeking out of his arms. What a beautiful bird pokemon! It was majestic and elegant by the way this bird pokemon moved and looked… So amazing.–
O-Oh!
Marshmallow dipped his head to look at Wally before softly cooing and preening Wally’s hair. Rebecca chuckled with a bright grin.
“He still likes ya, Cuz’.”
“Up y’get.”
She helped her cousin up onto Marshmallow’s back, the Altaria still gently preening Wally’s hair. Once she got on as well, Marshmallow carefully lifted off, his feet holding Wally’s luggage.
Your cousin is wally?!
“Yeah, why d’ya ask?”
“He’s my cousin on my mother’s side, his mom is my mom’s sister. The last time I saw him, the kid was in diapers and I still had hearing.”
–The shaky boy leaned into the hug from the proud veteran as he smiled widely with tears still in his eyes. Wally was truly proud for once that he did something on his own… He watched Rebecca as he had this warm feeling that spread in his chest and his smile only got bigger.
When she laid the ball on his palm, the fingers wrapped around the ultra ball as he rested his lips on it and murmured a thank you then… He let the ralts out that was now in his arms. The sickly boy couldn’t help but hug his new friend rather affectionate and gentle as he felt the tiny hand resting on his chin.–

It was almost magical when she saw children really connect with their partners for the first time.
“Y’will, Cuz’. Now let’s get your stuff and get going, sound good?”
She gently ruffled his hair and offered him her hand to hold. They’d get Wally’s bags and get on Marshmallow, who was currently circling around Petalburg, for the long flight back to Undella.
O-Okay! H-Here I go…
–Wally took a deep breath as he went in and held the ultra ball close with his eyes scanning for that ralts then instantly the ralts was there with a inviting smile. All right…–
I-I have to throw a ball at it r-right? H-Here I go.
–The timid beginner held the device up and threw it at the ralts all with his might as he hoped with all hope in his heart he could muse that he’ll get a friend. And… The ralts went in the ball, falling down to the dirt and wobbled with loud beeps that made Wally uneasy. It felt as if he was waiting forever but it was only few moments...-
Beep… Beep…
D-Did… I caught it?
–The ball stopped moving as it stayed still and Wally’s heart skipped a beat when he realized he caught his friend… That made the small boy tear up with a smile broadened on his pale face as his body shook with great relief.–
I…I-I did it…!
I-I’m so happy….!
Rebecca was there with a proud smile, walking up to him and giving her cousin a warm hug.
“I’m proud of you, Cuz’.”
“Great job.”
She gently ruffled his fluffy hair, her words soft and quiet before she went over to the ultra ball and picked it up. She went back over to her cousin and gently took his hand, putting the ultra ball in it, her proud smile never fading once.
