“Because I like him! I mean because he’s amazing, uhm… Cause he’s Kin.”

“Because I like him! I mean because he’s amazing, uhm… Cause he’s Kin.”

‘I can be. Sometimes.’

“And you’re precious all the time, in my opinion.”
And there was a gentle nuzzling with the hug.
Casually pokes. Insert innocent as heck face.
Peep.

And Kin has been swept up into a warm hug.
“You’re frickin’ precious, Kin.”
“….”

“…. Arceus help me, he’s precious.”
“Meeeew.”
Letting out a yawn the Pokemon settled down, looks like they were about ready for a long nap. By now the nasty smell should be obvious, Indigo’s nose was still wiggling and snorting a bit because of it.
Rebecca sneezed away from the berries she was handling when the smell finally wafted under her nose, causing her to tear up a little bit before she plopped the berries into the blender.

“Jeez, you’re getting a bath after this, Indigo. You smell pretty bad.”
She started up the blender and quickly covered Indigo’s head to keep the sound from hurting their hearing.
“Hey there, Indigo.”

“I was just about to make a berry smoothie. Would you like some?”
Now they were trying to nuzzle her hand. Grabbing onto it with their little fingers and keeping it right there as best they could.
‘What’s hibernating?’
“Dear Arceus, you’re adorable.”
She gently started scratching between Indigo’s horns.

“Hibernating, or hibernation, is when you relax a certain way to sleep for several days at a time. It’s ordinarily done during the winter, y’see.”
The Pokemon floated up to Rebecca’s shoulder and nuzzled into her cheek.
“Mew!”
The former champion softly laughed, gently petting Indigo’s head.

“Glad to see you’re not hibernating, sweetie. It’s pretty cold outside, after all.”
“Hey, Indigo. You doing okay today?”

She squatted down, offering her arms to the little Pokemon to pick them up.
Another, smaller yawn came as they snuggled up to her. Letting out little mews they slowly fell to sleep. Their tail coming out of the covers and trying to wrap around Rebecca, forgetting about that splint on it.
She softly sang, a hand gently making sure that their tail wouldn’t move. As soon as Indigo fell asleep, she carefully laid them back down on the bed and sat down in the nearby chair to read a book she had brought along.
