‘……’
Kin no.

“I am going to smoosh your face now.”
And thus, Kin’s face was gently smooshed.
‘……’
Kin no.

“I am going to smoosh your face now.”
And thus, Kin’s face was gently smooshed.
‘Uh…I don’t know…I’m not good at names let alone words. You got any ideas?’

“I’m crap with names too, unfortunately. My starter’s name is Pointy, remember?”
‘Me too, Rebecca.’
Adorable. Utterly adorable. Those were the words Kin would use to describe the little cutie as he now slowly and gently rub the knuckle of his finger against the Eevee’s cheek.
There was a quiet noise coming from the tiny Eevee, Rebecca realized that it was purring as it nibbled on her finger.

“Oh, Kin. Do you have a name in mind?”
The little Pokemon was able to sit up on their own now. Mewtwo was still hurting but not as much any more. A nurse came by and sat what they called a bottle on the table next to them. Leaning over and giving the top a light sniff they thought it smelled funny.
‘What’s this?’
Rebecca gave the little one a small smile, sitting next to their bed on a chair.
“It’s milk, sweetie. It looks like it’s full of vitamins and nutrients. It’s warmed too, it seems.”
She had carefully put her hand against the bottle to check the temperature, feeling that it was appropriately warm.

“Ah, you must be an alternate. I’m Rebecca. I hate to ask but do ya got a nickname that doesn’t sound disrespectful?”
The former champion gently shook his hand with a bright smile.
‘Uh, oops sorry I didn’t mean to.’
Understandable, Kin was not exactly the leading expert on how to behave around small creatures, as evident here.
He relaxed himself a little more, allowing the small Pokemon to nibble on his finger before it then moved on to sniff at Rebecca’s hand and then to nibble that too.
“It’s alright, hun. You’re new at this, it’s understandable.”

Rebecca kept herself relaxed, her other hand very gently gave the tiny Eevee scritchies under it’s chin, unaware that a warm, gentle smile made it’s way onto her face.
“I’m glad that we were able to hatch this little one, Kin. We did it.”
?
Oh. Oh! Let it sniff him first, hmm yes that made sense to Kin. No loud noises, easy for Kin
he barely made any. He was more than happy to old his hand out for the little Eevee to sniff……What he did not expect was for it to instead nibble on his finger, making small chirping sounds as it did so.
Internal screaming.
“Oh Arceus that is so adorable…”

Rebecca let out a quiet squeaking noise, causing the tiny Eevee to chirp in response. The former champion carefully offered her own hand to the newborn Pokemon, mentally screeching as she did so due to how adorable this was. She quietly spoke with a small smile.
“Kin, y’gotta relax. The little one’ll be just as tense and jumpy as you are.”
Ah, it was out of the egg! And oh my did Kin fall in love instantly with the newborn ball of fluff. It was tiny, which he did notice, but that didn’t detract from how much he was resisting the urge to just cuddle the Eevee and let it know how cute it was.

Rebecca barely resisted letting out a squeal at the soft chirps as she gently took Kin’s hand. She moved both their hands to the little Pokemon to allow it to get a whiff of both their scents. She kept her voice soft so she wouldn’t startle the newborn Eevee.
“Like this, Kin. Just let it sniff you a bit and it’ll be fine with you giving it a hug. It looks like this one has a timid nature so don’t make any loud noises.”
He couldn’t help but smile at Rebecca’s excitement. He was just as excited as she was but she looked utterly adorable to the hedgehog.
Rebecca’s attention turned back to the egg just as a tiny tuft of cream and brown poked out of the egg. Her hands were over her mouth to keep from startling the little one with a squeal.

Then a tiny paw cracked another part of the egg and the entire thing fell straight apart, revealing a tiny Eevee, it’s eyes shut as it chirped quietly and sniffed the air around it.
Yawn. Tired Kin was tired, a quiet sound of protest at being awoken, one eye opening, then he saw the egg was hatching. In an instant, Kin shot up with full attention towards the cracking egg.
Rebecca looked quite excited, a bright smile on her face as she sat on her futon.

“We did it, Kin! It’s hatching!”
