“You must have a poor police station. If they were anything like the officers I grew up having to deal with, they’d have been here within minutes.”

“Considering the only road to here is bumpy and made of dirt, I would say they’re being cautious so they don’t drive into a tree by accident. Many of the officers on duty in this town are veterans only so they more than know your type. They won’t have their sirens on because they know better. The guilty run when they hear sirens.

Treating Kin like a trash can will get you several years in prison, I’d estimate.”

“I’m not sure how a recording will do anything for someone who is deaf. You can’t prove what he mouthed with a listening device. You’re wasting your time. You’re not going to scare me. I’ll even wait here for these feds of yours.”

“I can do an amazing thing called ‘asking him what happened’. And I know he will be truthful. Because the security cameras caught everything and was already being transferred to the police station when I first spoke.”

“Still circumstantial. It wouldn’t hold up in court. It couldn’t even be grounds for arrest without at least three witnesses. Don’t you know anything about the legal system?”

“My headphones have a wireless listening device that will instantly transmit to the police any sound files that have been recorded if the power is cut off in any way, including destroying and cutting the internal power. Taking them off with result in the same thing.

I doubt you know the legal system in this world at all, which by the way you would be facing due to assault on a legal citizen here. The third witness has been flying above us the entire time, by the way.”

“Assuming you can prove I’ve taken advantage of anyone, which you can’t. Who do you think the feds will believe. The big, strong human, or the innocent little squirrel? Don’t mess with me kid, I’ve been doing this for years. I’ve gotten out of more crimes than a fox stalking a hen house.”

“Well I don’t know. Perhaps they would believe the deaf champion of the region defending her deaf friend from harassment and assault. After all, there’s been a long string of crimes these past ten years about people mistaking the inability to respond as a ‘yes’.”

“Try to do anything to me and I’ll summon a god to bring a great flood to your entire planet.”

“Easily solved by not harming my friend. He already told you to leave. Do so before I call the police for assault and harassment. Taking advantage of the deaf is a severe crime in this world.”

Egg | Closed RP

‘An…egg?’ Huh, Kin imagined a small chicken sized egg but nope, he was surprised to find that it was far bigger than that. Quite considerably bigger.

Kin read the note carefully, not quite sure why anyone would leave an egg on their doorstep.

“Yep. Whoever left it mustn’t have been very smart. The Daycare’s only one over.”

Rebecca took a look at the egg, her features becoming gentle as she uncovered the rest of the egg from under the blanket. Then her expression became one of concern.

“This is an Eevee egg but… It’s far smaller than it should be.”

Egg | Closed RP

“What in the…”

Right there at the door was a woven basket with a folded blanket. There was a card on top that she read as she carried the basket inside, closing the door behind her. She put the basket on the kitchen table, reading the note with a raised eyebrow, glancing at Kin.

“Apparently, someone found it hilarious to drop a Pokemon egg onto our doorstep.”

She showed the note to him, it simply read, ‘Take care of it, I am unable to’.
