Rocket Rescue

The screen right in front of their face fizzled and glitched. Which did nothing to help them calm down. Feeling something on their hand Mewtwo grabbed onto it and close their eyes.

Even though they couldn’t see it. The screen flashed green. A few moments later the armor opened and Mewtwo fell right out of its back. Last thing the Pokemon could remember was the blinding sun before passing out.

Rebecca breathed a sigh of relief, pulling off her scarf and gently wrapping it around the little one. Zeke huffed as he pushed the rubble off of himself before pausing, looking up at the small mountain near the middle of the island. Something was off.

The Zekrom picked up Rebecca with his mouth and plopped her on his back, ignoring the coughs from the dust as he took off. As soon as he was off the ground, the piles of rubble tumbled over each other as the ground shook.

Rebecca held the little Pokemon close to her chest, intending to take them straight to Bianca when they got back to Undella. Zeke could drop them off right by the Pokemon Center there.

The small Pokemon was heavily bruised and battered. Their tail was bent in such a way that it was obviously broken.

Something started dripping from behind the mask as a bunch of exhausted whines started. Fidgeting they tried to move but the armor wouldn’t buckle. Being stuck and unable to see like this reminded them of their tube.

Panicking they just struggled as hard as they could until they heard it. With a flash on the inside of the mask the armor was starting back up again. Showing words and symbols the Pokemon didn’t know.

Rebecca hugged the little Pokemon very gently, softly speaking to him as she sat on the ground, a hand gently grasping onto the little Pokemon’s.

“It’s okay, little one… I’m here… I’m so sorry… I’m sorry… I should have looked for you earlier… I’m sorry, little one…”

“This armor is strange… But… I heard someone giving commands when you were on the ground… Is that how it works?”

Zeke was grumbling a few feet away in a pile of rubble as Rebecca looked thoughtful. A chance she had to take if she wanted to save the little Mewtwo. It was a shot in the dark with nothing but a slingshot and a pebble.

“Command; Release.”

Mewtwo did not see that coming at all. Being slammed into a building they went right through it and one wall of the next one. At the moment every thing was silent and still.

But it didn’t last long. Dark spheres formed around Zekrom before rushing inward to them all at once. Teleporting right back the experiment looked ready to attack again. But the eyes of the armor suddenly shut and they just fell on the ground. All accompanied by the sound of something powering down.

Zeke was knocked backwards right as Rebecca pushed aside a piece of dusty rubble, gasping at the little Pokemon that was now on the ground. She went over and knelt down, gently pulling them into her arms, looking absolutely worried.

“Little one? Little one, can you hear me?”

‘Can you hear me? I’m here, little one.’

Rocket Rescue

smallestclone:

With the other down on the ground Mewtwo maid a rush of stones erupt from under their feet. Along with unleashing all that sunlight they’ve gathered since coming to the surface. Trying to break that shield.

Changing their tactics. The clone turned away from the Zekrom and focused on the sky. A small collection of dark clouds began to before a bolt of lightning was unleashed heading right for the trainer.

Rebecca went pale when the little Pokemon turned to her and jolted when Zekrom roared to get her to move. She practically dived to the side, getting slightly zapped by the residual electricity. She gritted her teeth though, looking at the little Pokemon with a pleading expression.

“Little one, are you being controlled by the scientists?”

“Solarbeam, Swift…-ZEKE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

Zeke had promptly slammed into the little Pokemon with a full-power Fusion Bolt, intending to break the armor.

Rocket Rescue

smallestclone:

The Fusion Bolt made contact and slammed them into the ground. Picking their self back up the Pokemon took a moment to get their barrings and see where the two were.

If Mewtwo could answer they would. Having no idea what was going on they still fought with everything they had. But the armor was more than able to keep them in check.

Swiping with their arms the Pokemon sent out a blade of energy at the black Legendary. Following that with a small flurry of stars.

Rebecca yelped in surprise, coughing at the dust being thrown in the air before looking at just who she was having Zeke defend against.

“Little one! Zeke! Protect! Don’t hurt them!”

Zeke’s own eyes widened when he finally got a good look at the attacker and he swooped down with an idea of his own. He was charging up another Fusion Bolt now, full power, while behind the Protect shield. He felt like the armor was not supposed to be there. So he would try to break it.

Rocket Rescue

smallestclone:

Mewtwo noticed that voice again. But couldn’t make out what it said because of another giving commands. Who ever that other was they somehow knew just what the other Pokemon was doing. Launching a Fire Blast at the other the little clone kept their speed up, circling the other.

“Fire Blast?!”

“What in the… Zeke! Low-power Fusion Bolt and follow up with a Thunderbolt!”

Zeke growled in affirmative, the Protect degrading just in time for him to blast a Fusion Bolt at the assailant. Rebecca then looked thoughtful for a moment. Hadn’t that other Pokemon called their species…?

She looked at the bunker before taking a deep breath. The resulting yell would shake the Pidgey from the trees all the way in Pallet Town.

“MEWTWO!! WHERE ARE YOU?!!!”

“ANSWER ME, PLEASE!!”

Rocket Rescue

smallestclone:

It seemed as if they were making no progress at all getting through that door. The ground around it was taking more damage than the bunker itself. But the door strangely opened slightly on its own.

A large, dark beam shot out of the gap in the door. Aiming right for the Zekrom. Following it was a small, armor clad figure moving extremely fast. From the blue glow it seemed to be charging up for another attack already. Once it was clear the bunker closed up again.

The moment she saw the beam, her heart ground to a halt and her vision blurred. She hadn’t seen what had shot out of the bunker. Then she realized it wasn’t aimed for her and shouted into the sky.

“Zeke! Dodge! Protect! They know Hyper Beam!”

The Zekrom growled and did as such, bringing up a Protect shield to block any further Hyper Beams. The Fusion Bolt had been dissolved, as Rebecca hadn’t wanted to harm anyone. If there were injuries, it would be the base’s fault. She desperately called out mentally, hoping to Arceus that the little one was alright.

‘Little one! Give me some sort of sign of where you are! I’m here!’

Rocket Rescue

smallestclone:

Most of them couldn’t hear what she said. But when they saw that flash go up and then what came down after it. They all abandoned their Pokemon and started running.

The little experiment heard that again but was given another command before they could respond. Fighting with everything they had. Mewtwo was unable to stop their self as they teleported both themselves and the scientists to another part of the bunker. Then began charging energy for a third time.

Once the trainers were gone, Rebecca had Zeke Fusion Bolt the ground a few more times to scare away the Pokemon from the pile of rubble and steel that was the Pokemon Mansion. It wouldn’t do to have innocent Pokemon getting hurt.

‘Little one! Where are you?’

Rebecca and Zeke landed and she jumped off his back, a hand on her belt in case she needed a partner. Her other hand was held up and a command was on her lips, Zeke was ready to blast through with a Fusion Bolt when she was ready.

Rocket Rescue

smallestclone:

Mewtwo heard something, they weren’t sure what. But it was quickly drowned out by another command and more pain. They started gathering energy again when the entire building started shaking, making them give out a command to stop.

Above the Pokemon Mansion was just gone. In it’s place was a large metal door as big around as the building was. Other than the mansion being gone it seems undamaged.

If Cinnabar Island was not woken up before it certainly was now. It looked like everyone came out of their homes to see just what happened. Once they noticed the Zekrom up in the sky they all got their Pokemon out and started launching every ranged attack they had.

In response to the attacks, Rebecca glared murderously at them, saying two more commands in the lowest growl she could manage.

“Reflect. Draco Meteor.

Those words would be a sign for the people on the island to run for their lives if they wanted to keep them. She had never been so relieved that her trainer gear included her old scarf, her face was covered in case of a camera.

‘Little one, I’m here! Let me know where you are!’

The scientists were still barking commands and the armor was still making Mewtwo carry them out. After being moved to a field the little Pokemon found themselves put up against a much larger one. It looked familiar but all the pain they were in kept them from thinking clearly enough to remember.

Whatever it was, it launched off some kind of beam attack that didn’t seem to faze this armor. Getting the command to attack the clone brought their arms together and started gathering energy. Something they’ve never been able to do before. Firing off the blue ball they formed it was too fast for the other Pokemon to dodge.

But it still wasn’t down. The scientist on Mewtwo’s end told them, or the armor rather, that this Snolax was strong but too slow to be any real threat. Charging up energy again, the small experiment fired off a beam of their own that froze the round Pokemon in place.

Outside on the surface of Cinnabar Island. You’d never guess just what was going on down below the Pokemon Mansion.

Rebecca and Zeke barreled through the storm clouds, not caring how fast they were going so long as they got to the little one in time. She was trying desperately to mentally contact the little Pokemon again.

‘Little one, can you hear me? We’ll be there soon, just please… Hang on there.’

She figured it out right away, there would be injuries, there was no way around it. She couldn’t hope that no one would be hurt. That would be naive. Rebecca directed Zeke in the right direction as he flew, the Pokemon was using the cry as a beacon to find the origin.

Then, the island came into view and Rebecca’s eyes narrowed, speaking a simple command.

“Fusion Bolt.”
