Rocket Rescue

smallestclone:

Mewtwo has never been gone for that length of time before. The scientists were furious when the Pokemon returned and quickly sedated them. Plans would have to be accelerated.

There was no telling how long it was before they woke up. But when they did something was obviously wrong. The young experiment was wearing something all over that was painful and kept them from moving.

One of the scientists suddenly spoke. Giving out some order Mewtwo didn’t understand. Whatever it was they were wearing however somehow did and started to move their body. It hurt worse than anything the small clone has ever felt.

Mewtwo tried to cry out for help, do anything to get this thing off, get away from here. But their body just didn’t listen. Unknown to everyone in the room however. This armor, as the scientists called it, was taking their mental cries and amplifying them, carrying them to who the Pokemon wanted most in that moment.

All the way back in Unova, the former champion held her head as she ‘heard’ the little one’s cries for help. She immediately went to change into her trainer gear, pulling on her old hat to keep her headphones from falling off in-flight.

She glanced out the window as dark clouds formed, indicating that her ride there would be getting there any moment. Rebecca pulled on a pair of socks and boots and ran outside, Zeke pulled her straight onto his back before taking off.

“Nothing fancy, got it Zeke?”

A roar was the response as they barreled through the stormy clouds. Rebecca was fighting off nausea, her eyes closed as she tried to respond to the cries.

‘I’m coming, little one! Just hold on for a little longer!’

“I could probably do that. I’m really tired lately. I’ve been sleeping way too much, but it’s so hard to keep my eyes open sometimes.” A mix of the heat, the injuries, and a headache. “I think I’ve only woken up once or twice in the past few days.”

“Sometimes I get like that too, Silv. It’s something about the weather that makes people feel sleepy. Not many people like getting up when it’s humid and sticky outside. Nothin’ wrong with that, though. If your body needed the sleep, no one can blame ya.”

She looked thoughtful for a moment.

“How about I get ya a cold drink? I’ve got milk in the fridge if you’d like chocolate milk.”

Without a word, all of the bandages unrolled themselves. Psychokinesis was convenient for this sort of thing. It was painful, but nothing he couldn’t handle.

“I got it.”

“Alright, lessee here…”

Rebecca looked at the healed injuries with a nod before standing up with her first aid kit.

“It looks like your description was right on the money, Silv. They look to be all healed up. Maybe one more day of taking it easy should take care of the rest. One and a half days at the most, several hours at the least.”

Kin, out of boredom and to find a way of passing the time, would find a little amusement in watching Rebecca preparing the hot cocoa, taking note of every little movement and gesture she made, observing if you like.

Two minutes. Ah, not too long then, the hedgehog stretching a little before resting his head on his arms.

Once the microwaved stopped, she took out two now steaming mugs of cocoa and put them on the table, sitting right across from Kin.

“Don’t drink it right away, alright? Wait til it cools a bit.”

‘No need to thank me, just making sure you’re not in pain.’ And that hug was plenty good for Kin, slightly hugging her back before she let go and headed to the fridge, leaving him waiting patiently in his seat again.

“Now lessee… here we are.”

Rebecca pulled out the milk and took out the hot cocoa powder, pouring it in two mugs and mixing the milk into the powder. She promptly put the two mugs into the microwave and set it for two minutes.
