‘Oh my, that sounds like a lot of work.’

“It is but it’s how I make a living. I supply to the entire region. And if I do a good job in a harvest, I get to reward myself with a slice of cake.”

A small, cruel chuckle escaped him when the girl admitted to the faults of the human race. It was true and yet it had been a human who had taught him the value of life and being alive. Pure irony. Of course she knew nothing of this, and he didn’t plan on letting her know either, making his comment at her appology a little cryptic: “It is amazing how humans can be this cruel on the one hand, but that kind hearted on the other, even though they always stay foolish throughout.” He wasn’t sure into which category he could put the human in front of him though.
She seemed to be kind, and she claimed that she was the one taking care of this ominous “Mewtwo”, having told him about it in the first place, however, she was a human nevertheless and he had also had his fair share of bad experiences with them before. For the moment though, he believed that she was at least no threat to him. Only time could tell if her intentions were as pure as her first impression. And besides that – she was the only source of information he had regarding this strange other Pokémon she kept talking about.
Therefore he kept pressing for answers, when she downplayed her knowledge: “What do you know though, human? Every piece of information might prove useful in this.” It was then when he noticed that one of her hands was wrapped in bandages, despite her attempt to hide it behind her back quickly. What was she saying? Something about Cheri berry Juice? A Small accident? He tilted his head. “You are hurt. What is that accident you speak of?”
“Sometimes it’s ridiculous how big the difference is.”

“From the flashes I got, all I was seeing was orange, bubbles and some vague outlines of what I can only assume is a desk. It’s not much to go on.”
She twitched at the mention of her injury and pulled her hand out from behind her back, carefully unwrapping the bandages. It looked much like a second degree burn but at the same time not.
“The little Pokemon was helping me pick berries and they didn’t know that they weren’t supposed to squeeze Cheri berries. I managed to get it away from them before it popped so it ended up on my hand. It was an accident and I forgot to tell them not to squeeze so it’s really my fault.”
‘Orchard?’

“I take care of berry trees. About a hundred of ’em, actually. Ten rows of ten different berries.”
‘So…do you want to do anything, maybe?’

“There’s not much to do here besides taking care of the orchard and watching TV. Unless I’m called in for a battle, I’m just relaxin’ here.”
“That would be fine.”
Silver certainly didn’t have any issue with someone referring to him as a family member. Especially not this person in particular.
“As long as you’re okay with having a little brother with weird alien blood.”

“I don’t mind at all what your blood is, Silv. Have you seen the world I live in? Pokemon around every corner and I get sat on by Marshmallow once a week. D’you really think I’d mind.”
And with that, Rebecca hugged him warmly and happily.

“What?”
“Would it…”

Rebecca took a deep breath, trying to keep the nervousness from bubbling to the surface.
“Would it be alright if I called you my little brother?”
“Neither do I. If what he’s saying is true, I should have jumped someone when I hit puberty.” *huffhuffs*
Uhm, No.
If that were true I would have jumped my wife.
And I did not. We took our time, and we waited until she and I were both ready.
That was when she was in her Twenties, and we did not force each other or pressure each other into it. We only did it Once, with complete consent because we both love each other unconditionally and we respect each others limits. I love her for who she is, and I would never put her down for curiosities sake.
Instincts do Not control me.
And even if she didn’t want to at that time, I would have been perfectly okay with that because I love her for being her.

“I’m mostly commenting on the ‘instinct’ thing, actually. Before I got my old job, there was a farmhand that was pretty good-looking. I was maybe 12 or 13 at the time which takes the ‘instinct’ comment into account.”
“Silv? Could I ask you something?”

‘I only speak the truth.’
Hmm more hugs, yes good very good for Kin, he likes this a lot, gladly hugging her back.

Rebecca softly chuckled a bit more, gently squeezing the other warmly. She hadn’t meant to be gone for the morning but had been called in for a battle.
”Hey, baby!
Why’re you looking so down, dollface?
You’re in my presence, after all- –That’s something
to be celebrated.”

“Nah, I’m not down. A day full of orchard harvesting is fun but exhausting. A hundred trees with fifteen to twenty berries each.
It’s nice to meet you though.”
