Rebecca was sipping at her tea, reading the morning paper at the kitchen table, attempting to wake up to start her day.

“If only it would rain today. The orchard can’t be watered by sprinklers alone…”

No one, Wrong number
You didn’t see this. I don’t exist.

“But this is another dimension’s video pho-
…Fuck.”
“Somehow I am not surprised. Silver alternates in particular tend to be kind, and forgiving.”

“I honestly wasn’t expecting him to forgive me. Or even hear me out, for that matter. He’s the only Silver I know, actually. I’m not able to multiverse travel because of my orchard.”

“…How did you find my video phone number and may I ask who’s calling?”

“I apologized to him and he forgave me…!”
Rebecca was slumped front first on the smaller block of ice, a look on her face that could only be called blissful. Unfortunately for the former champion, it was summer in Undella and a very sweltering day. She had gotten Triton to make an ice block while her home cooled down.

“Ahh, cold~”
“I do forgive you, and at the same time I apologize for not listening. It’s just… fruit doesn’t make me feel as good as cookies do, and I was really stressed out. I know those are better for me, but…” He sighed. “I’m sorry. I really am.
But I do forgive you. I would forgive you for anything. That’s what friends do.”

With those words, a weight on her heart lifted. She hadn’t expected his apology though.
"I…”

Without another word, Rebecca fell to her knees and hugged her best friend tightly.
“Thank you for forgiving me… Thank you so much… I forgive you too…”
“I’m listening.”

Rebecca took a calming breath before she spoke. She didn’t want to lose her nerve.
“I want to apologize for both yelling and going too far yesterday. I had no right to yell at you for what happened and I am sorry.
I was worried about your health because of something that happened when I was a child and I was terrified of it happening to you. However, that does not excuse my behavior nor the fact that I yelled.
I do not blame you if you don’t forgive me. I acted horribly.”
“S… Silver? Could we talk for a moment…? I have something I want to say and I want to say it before I lose my chance.”

The former champion worked in her basement, an ice pick in hand as she scratched and scraped at a giant block of ice.
It took all of five minutes before she stabbed the pick into the ice and gave up, unlocking the door and heading back upstairs.

This would be better done with a clearer head and a brighter basement.
So she ended up going to bed, thinking about how she could apologize without sounded like a nervous little girl.
