The Human seemed friendly. It was enough to calmed him down somewhat. He was still worried about his ship though.

“W-where’s this b-beach?”

Laying back and taking the blanket the Lombax had a look of defeat on his face.

“The stairs to it are about twenty feet from the back of the house and to the right from the orchard.”

Rebecca took the rag from the creature’s head, wetting it again with the icy water and wringing it out before putting it back on the other’s forehead.

Mewtwo continued on. They were very slow but made up for it by being very careful. Treating the berries almost like they’d explode if they were shaken too much. Without thinking about it they reached out with their wrapped up hand but the Pokemon did their best to hide it again.

Rebecca simply glanced at the little Pokemon’s injury, a little sympathy in her eyes.

“I’ll get you some ice for that later, okay?”

She did her best to harvest the Cheri berries, moving to next tree when she was finished with the last.

iamnotratchet:

Out of reflex he froze up the moment he was touched despite how gentle she was. Taking a moment and a breath he did his best to relax as he was helped back up into that futon.

“C-crash?”

Seems he didn’t recall everything that happened after all.

“Yeah, your ship smashed right into the beach. I had Triton Ice Beam it to cool it off. Quite literally, actually.”

“For now, y’gotta rest. I’m not joking when I said that you were pretty banged up. I’ve had an ice pack on your head for the past few hours.”

Rebecca pulled the blanket back over him, making sure to be as careful as she possibly could.

smallestclone:

Hesitantly they reached out with their right arm again. Slowly picking a single berry they were very, very careful to be gentle.

‘Like this?’

Rebecca gave them an encouraging smile and nodded.

“Yes, that’s perfect, sweetie.”

The former champion hid her now trembling hand in her pocket, using her other hand to pick each Cheri berry.

iamnotratchet:

Still holding onto their head they slowly sat up with a groan. It took them a few minutes to remember just what happened. Finally noticing the Human and that strange blue creature in her lap. Sprocket tried his best to get up as quietly as he could. But ended up tripping over the futon with a yelp.

Oddly it was Triton who was woken up by the noise and he tugged on Rebecca’s hand to wake her up.

The trainer’s eyes snapped open and she pulled her headphones on before going over to him and gently helping him back into the futon.

“Careful, hun. You got pretty banged up from that crash.”

iamnotratchet:

They were finally starting to come to. An eye slowly opening. This wasn’t their ship. Was this Orion? No one was around, no way to tell. Raising a hand to their pounding head the Lombax felt something wet. But were still too disoriented to put two and two together.

Rebecca had put a cold, semi-wet rag on the creature’s forehead to reduce the chance of any swelling, having carefully bandaged the scrapes so they wouldn’t get infected. The trainer had fallen asleep against the wall, Triton curled up and napping on her lap.

smallestclone:

The small Pokemon didn’t notice the sound. But they did stare with a blank expression as the juice dripped.

‘Irritants? So I shouldn’t pick them then?’

That was confusing. All Mewtwo wanted to do was help. Does that mean she shouldn’t be picking them either?

“It’s only a problem if you squeeze them.”

Rebecca flicked her hand off to the side to get rid of the juice, mentally noting the sizzle it made when it came in contact with the grass.

“Now you know for next time, sweetie.”

iamnotratchet:

Other than a few scrapes, bruises, and possibly a minor concussion the Lombax was fine all things considered. They were lucky, that crash could have ended so much worse.

Other than a small twitch here and there they were unresponsive for the entire trip.

The former champion put the strange creature on a spare futon as carefully as she could, making sure not to jostle their head too much. She pulled the blanket over the other and went to get the disinfectant for the scrapes.

smallestclone:

Mewtwo simply nodded. Reaching out with their uninjured hand they tried to pick a few berries, following the trainer’s movements. They didn’t really know they should be careful about squeezing them.

“Ah, be careful, sweetie!”

Rebecca gently took the berries from the little Pokemon just in time for them to pop, the skin-irritating juices dripping from her fingers. If one listened closely, they could almost hear a sizzle.

“Just made it… The juice in Cheri berries are terrible skin irritants. I didn’t want to see what it could do to your fur, sweetie.”

collaredexperimentation:

-Heat gave a small sigh at the warmth he was greeted with, shyly laying his hands on his own lap, and blinking to the bubbles on his nose.image They seemed to be more resistant than suds. Blinking blankly as the scent wafted his senses suddenly, causing his eyes to somewhat lazily lower. Looking up to her after a moment, not having realized he was being asked something. Blinking several times, trying to process what she said before giving a small nod, and spoke in a slow, hesitant voice.-

Yes…. It is…. Nice and warm, and… This scent is fairly….

Pleasant.

-He tried, however the scent, and the warmth was making him feel sleepy, he was trying not to doze off, giving Rebecca a small smile.-

Rebecca softly giggled, a bright smile on her face. Then she promptly pat some of the bubbles onto her face, making her look like she had a beard made of bubbles.

“Ta-dah! A bubble beard!”

The former champion had a bright grin on her face. If she had a tail, it would be wagging happily.
