“That guy’s pretty lucky, isn’t he?” Yousuke mused as he walked over, setting the bottle of water down before the other. “I read that milk is actually bad for cats … ‘nd I’m sure that he needs water more than anythin’ else.” With that, he sat across from the other with a small chuckle. “Can’t believe someone will leave a kitten out like that.” They had watched some woman literally drop the box off at the side of the road, and when they went to inspect it, found the small babe inside.
“Mhm, you’re right. That was a good call. Thank you for getting the water.”
She softly praised, a smile on her face. She wasn’t sure how old this tiny one was, but his eyes were wide open and looking at them both. She had a top from a glass jar she had been intending to take home, so Rebecca carefully poured the water in that.
Slowly and carefully, she put the top in front of the tiny kitten, hoping it was alright.
“We might have to mince something up later for food, I can handle that.”
Even Igor could feel the distinctive scent of something being baked along with the distant sound of the Aria. It had a calming feeling, evoking a sense of nostalgia. How interesting is this girl’s, heart…
He chuckled lightly, the young lady was an honest one indeed.
❝ This I cannot tell. The future is still to be unveiled to you, along with anything that may come this way. It may be similar to something you had faced in the past…Or it might be much worse. My task is to assist you throughout your journey. ❞
The song in the background almost sounded like it was playing through a radio, though the tune was peaceful. It was nice… The smells and the familiar surroundings helped her relax somewhat, doubly so with the warm sun shining ‘outside’. She didn’t feel in danger here at all. Sapphire eyes blinked at that before she snapped her fingers.
“Nuts, that’s what I figured. I had to at least ask once.”
Then she looked thoughtful and quite a bit worried. Similar to Izanami or worse… That was comforting. And she meant that in the most sarcastic way. Although she was definitely thankful for an answer, as cryptic as it was, it was rather helpful regardless.
“The last thing I want to encounter is Goddess McCorpsey’s Thousand Curses again… Assist how?”
Rebecca tilted her head curiously. She’d be delighted to have any kind of assistance, especially if it helped keep her from Thousand Curses or worse. She inwardly shuddered at the idea and honestly didn’t want to know what could possibly be worse than… Never mind.

❝ 𝒲ℯ𝓁𝒸ℴ𝓂ℯ 𝓉ℴ 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝒱ℯ𝓁𝓋ℯ𝓉 ℛℴℴ𝓂. My name is Igor…I am delighted to make your acquaintance. This place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter…It is a room that only those who are bound by a “contract” may enter…It may be that such a fate awaits you in the near future. Now then…Why don’t you introduce yourself…?❞
“A-Ah…”
So her headset was on the ‘slightly missing’ side, yet she could still hear this guy. Okay that was odd… He reminded her of a crow almost. Though she didn’t feel any instinctive danger, maybe this was fine?
“Rebecca Bardot, um…”
To Rebecca’s honest delight when she looked around, the room had the feel of a coffee shop or a bakery-cafe. Somewhere between the two. Then she looked back at Igor, wondering what this was all about.
“Is, uh, there gonna be some kinda ‘incident’ like Goddess McCorpsey or…?”
im obsessed w physical closeness, romantically….not even sexually just if u date me it’s all hugging all the time we are gonna lay in bed and im gonna cuddle w u, we will stand in the kitchen and i will stand hip to hip w u, u will sit on the couch and i will stroke your hair and kiss your forehead….it’s so intoxicating as a concept
of all the things my hands have held the best by far is you.
“Maybe I shouldn’t…”
Rebecca mumbled a little, looking at a small container with fresh-baked cookies in her hand. She had felt a stab of guilt almost while she had looked at it, wondering if getting these for her Professor was a good idea after all.
“He sounded annoyed on the chat… Even if I’m using my own money, I still feel guilty about this.”
She put the once-potential gift back on the shelf with a small sigh. She had gotten fewer books than expected on this little trip because of said guilt. Her own earnings did nothing to wash away that feeling and she didn’t know why.
She had worried about her Professor when Ozpin had said he didn’t use his money for food, but maybe doing this was over the line…
