A small laugh was given at Rebecca’s response.

“I don’t think I’ll be tripping over anyone. Also… Seriously? A ball of cotton? Whatever it is, it must be a strange creature.”

Says the immortal hedgehog-alien hybrid.

"Y’wanna meet ‘im then?”

“Marshmallow is definitely a ‘strange creature’ by that definition.”

Rebecca chuckled a bit with a bright smile. This subject was a lot better than the other one.

frecklehog:

“Marshmallow? What a hilariously unfitting name.

image

…I don’t really know what an Altaria is, but I can imagine it being pretty annoying to deal with.

Hm? Well, then. Maybe I’ll run into her one day.”

"Can you really blame me, I named him when I was a toddler.”

“Just imagine a giant pissy ball of cotton and you’re not far off.

If she’s much shorter than I am, you’re more likely to trip over her.”

frecklehog:

Shadow retracted his arm once he’d broken the shake, laxly folding them over his chest.

“Well, we seem to be kind of different from most alternates… Certainly a lot friendlier.” He gave a light-hearted chuckle. “Most others seem to be massive grumps or homicidal maniacs, although there’s much less of the latter.

I can’t say I’ve ever met an alternate of you, though.”

"Homicidal maniacs? That sounds like Marshmallow on a bad day.”

“Grumps I can handle, I have to deal with an Altaria who gets pissy if I don’t brush his fluff more than twice a week.”

The former champion looked thoughtful for a moment before speaking again.

“A Sonic alternate once said that I do have an alternate and I’m apparently much taller than her.”

frecklehog:

“The pleasure is mine.” He extended a hand, giving a small smile as he did so.

Rebecca grinned brightly and took his hand, shaking it firmly.

“Honestly I feel like I may be a bit biased on that subject. The only Shadows I know are you and Heat.”

frecklehog:

“Sounds like that would be the best option.”

image

“I have no idea. He supposedly went to an open area to let it all out, but I don’t know how that went… Yet.”

“Indeed.”

“An open area, huh… Whoever came up with that one has the right idea.”

frecklehog:

“I have no idea who that is.”

image

“Yeah. It will be, it amplifies any negative emotions that the bearer has, and to be frank, that alternate isn’t exactly the most positive person in the world. Most people just coddle the behaviour, because the affected person can’t handle their own emotions, so it’s usually left to the person with the problem to solve.”

“Let’s just say he’s a complete monster towards anything that has a pulse and we’ll leave it at that.”

“…oh dear. I-Is there someone he’s very fond of and would no doubt listen to? Maybe that person can get him to release that energy where there aren’t any people around.”

frecklehog:

“Basically one of my alternates was charged with a negative force so strong, that it compelled him to be violent, or rather want to be violent. So no, it’s certainly not pretty.

image

I tried, but I don’t see how Silver could want to defend someone who could literally take so many lives in an instant with no regret for it.”

”…Oh dear. And I thought Ghestis was bad.“

"It’s obvious that he’s good friends with this Shadow but I see where you’re both coming from. That negative crap is no doubt doing that to him, possibly upping his aggression levels along with it. Is there anyone you can think of that’d be able to talk with him without risk of getting splattered?”

frecklehog:

“I wouldn’t involve yourself. There is an alternate of me currently wired on negative chaos energy, and since I was worried about him hurting others, I threatened him, to be frank.

Then a Silver alternate who must be close to him decided to attempt to fight my morals of wanting to protect those I care about from someone who could go berserk at any second.”

"Due to the fact that I have no idea what you just said, I feel my decision to stay out of it is a good one. Dunno what this ‘chaos energy’ stuff is but if it’s negative energy, that can’t be a good thing. I’ve seen what negative anything can do to people and it ain’t pretty.

Well, have you two thought about compromising? Both of your sides seem to have merit and two heads are better than one, after all.”
