“I could probably do that. I’m really tired lately. I’ve been sleeping way too much, but it’s so hard to keep my eyes open sometimes.” A mix of the heat, the injuries, and a headache. “I think I’ve only woken up once or twice in the past few days.”

“Sometimes I get like that too, Silv. It’s something about the weather that makes people feel sleepy. Not many people like getting up when it’s humid and sticky outside. Nothin’ wrong with that, though. If your body needed the sleep, no one can blame ya.”

She looked thoughtful for a moment.

“How about I get ya a cold drink? I’ve got milk in the fridge if you’d like chocolate milk.”

Without a word, all of the bandages unrolled themselves. Psychokinesis was convenient for this sort of thing. It was painful, but nothing he couldn’t handle.

“I got it.”

“Alright, lessee here…”

Rebecca looked at the healed injuries with a nod before standing up with her first aid kit.

“It looks like your description was right on the money, Silv. They look to be all healed up. Maybe one more day of taking it easy should take care of the rest. One and a half days at the most, several hours at the least.”

“Well, my feet are kinda big compared to the rest of me, so…”

It seemed all Mobians had incredibly large hands, and feet. Nothing that could be done about it. Fighting the nervousness, he slipped out of his boots, birthmarks glowing like a flashlight as he stepped into the sandals for the first time. There was something fascinating about wearing different shoes.

“Oh, they fit! I’m glad.”

“Walk around a bit to see how they feel. Are they comfortable enough to walk in?”

Rebecca’s own sandals were thankfully flat, as she couldn’t walk on the platform sandals most women wore to festivals.

“I’ll go all the way. I’ll wear sandals.”

Silver could handle taking his gloves and boots off now that he had become a little more self confident. He would be nervous, but he could handle it, as long as no one yelled at him. The yukata was strange, but fascinating at the same time, and he rather enjoyed wearing it. It may have been on the tall side, but it certainly fit his round figure.

“Alright. Good thing I’ve got a spare pair of sandals. They’re a bit big though, I hope you don’t mind.”

Rebecca went through the slipper cabinet and came back with a pair of sandals, offering them to Silver.

“Here ya go. They’re a large children’s size. There’ll most likely be a bunch of Pokemon in yukatas there so you’ll blend right in.”

The yukata-clad did her best to help Silver into the human-sized yukata, tying the best as carefully and securely as she could.

“Almost… Got it! Y’look great!”

Rebecca had found an adult-sized yukata for Silver to wear to the festival to help him blend in better.

“Do ya wanna wear your boots under it or d’ya want a pair of sandals?”

“Even without my hypersensitive hearing I heard that. By tonight I’ll be back in my own body, so the answer is yes I wanna go to whatever a Jirachi festival is.”

“You do? That’s great! I’d be more than happy to have you along, Silv. You’re fine with crowds and noise, right?”

“It’s technically called the Wishing Festival but everyone calls it the Jirachi Festival because Jirachi is a legendary Pokemon that grants wishes.”
