There was quiet for a moment before a clunk, and the vent lifted up, letting her come out. Or rather climb out.
“Okay. Papa, there was a person who hugged me earlier and I had no idea who they were. They gave me a clover pin and it seems to be safe? I scanned it.”
She held out the pin in case he wanted to run his own scans.
Rebecca blinked in surprise. Who on earth was this and how did she get into HQ? She ran a quick scan on the clover pin, better safe than sorry, before dropping it in her pocket to put on later. Then she absently patted the reploid’s head.
And as soon as she got free, she jumped into the nearest air vent to hide.
“Oh.” Caught red-pawed, Gospel laid down on the floor several feet
from the table, and lifted his head. This stranger wasn’t afraid of his
size and sharp points? Score!
“Hello!” The caninoid chirped, starting to wag his long tail a few segments at a time. “Am Gospel. You new friend?”
Rebecca chuckled a bit, putting down her paperwork as well to cross her arms on the table. She probably would have been more scared of him had she not known that Great Danes existed and pet quite a few in her time. A bunch of sweethearts, they were.
“It’s nice to meet you, Gospel. Yeah, I’m a new friend, I’m Rebecca.”
