It was incredibly windy today, even up in the League. It was quite unusual to her. Was someone screwing with weather patterns again?

She couldn’t even do half of her normal welcoming speech for the League because her hair kept flying into her face. Maybe it was time to cut it though, it was getting a bit long for her liking.

Rebecca wondered if she could duck out for a bit to give herself a trim…

A certain someone was lugging a bunch of large, wrapped presents into the living room and quietly putting them under the tree, making sure nothing ripped or tore and checked the tags one last time before feeling confident enough to leave them as they were.

“Perfect. They’re gonna be so excited!”

“Hmm…”

“Kin’ll definitely love this for Christmas…  This too…”

Guess who was doing her Christmas shopping now that the crowds were gone. Her wagon was currently filled with extra large plushies of Pokemon.

“I wonder if Kin’ll like a Swampert plushie… But this one says ‘Mega’ Swampert… Oh I can’t decide, these are all so cuddly.”

“Ugh… Kin, I’m home from the league! I brought- Jeez…”

Rebecca softly sighed with a warm smile, putting her bag down on the table while carefully picking up the sleeping Kin like a toddler. She carried him into her room and laid him down on his futon, pulling the covers over him before getting up and turning the light off.

“Just like a kid, I swear.”

“Looks like another night with the house in panic mode. Jen’s gonna love this tomorrow morning. I hate giving her more paperwork.”

The press of a button and the house locked down tightly and completely once more.

As soon as Kin was in the house, the doors, windows and any other possible entrances immediately locked and were covered with smooth steel plating thanks to Rebecca’s panic button.

There would be no more disturbances tonight, that was for sure. Good thing she had stocked up on all the essentials before Kin had gotten home.

Rebecca was fast asleep in her futon, her arms gently curled around the tiny egg in the incubator. She had been exhausted from the day, trying desperately to keep the little egg warm.

Her and Kin had been so relieved when they felt something move inside of it, indicating that the little one was alive. After that, it was a matter of keeping the Pokemon alive, thus the idea of the normal incubator.
