“Has it moments. Some are better than others…”

That said his left ear did a furtive little flick forward.

“Sounds like a plan t’ me. Mind if I ask what’ve you done so far, just for an idea or two?”

“As with life in general.”

Rebecca had to restrain herself from commenting on how cute that was.

“Mostly winged Pokemon, sometimes trees and large wine bottles.”

justsimplespeed:

“Kinda know how ya feel, believe it or not, then again I have plenty t’ do t’ keep me occupied. Like hopping ‘round universes~”

“And don’t mention it, ‘s the least I can do. Taking up your time and all.”

“Sounds like fun.”

Rebecca kinda wished that the trainers sent to her by the E4 didn’t suck so much that she had to have a hobby.

“It’s perfectly alright. I’m retired from my first job so I’ve really got plenty of time. Though for the sculpture, you’re gonna have to either give me a design that you have in mind or use one of the ones I’ve already made. I’ve got a book of ‘em back home so when you need one, lemme know and I’ll give you the designs.”

justsimplespeed:

“Funny I wouldn’t take ya as the artistic sort. You oughta meet my friend Heather someday, she loves that kinda stuff. She’s an artist too.”

Hmm…A giant ice sculpture would be a killer thing to have at a party.

“Maybe next time I have a gig somewhere I’ll take you up on that.”

“Well, I have to keep myself busy somehow. I don’t get a lot of challengers and the ones that I do get I usually just wipe the floor with.”

Rebecca put the TM away and gave him a small smile.

“Thanks, dude. That helps a lot.”

justsimplespeed:

“Sounds like it sure beats havin’ t’ run on it, that’s for sure.”

The thought of any one, or Pokémon, sculpting ice into anything but cubes was a weird one to the speedster.

“Do you make ice sculptures?”

Oops, there goes the questions again.

“Well, I have to make money somehow. I collab with Triton to make ‘em. He makes a giant block and I carve it. I’m pretty good with an ice pick.”

And it helped that she had the ultimate way to concentrate. She simply took off her headphones while carving.

“Why d’ya ask? Need one for a party?”

Sonic’s gaze passed over the not-so-CD and his head titled in innocent wonder. He never thought people could learn anything from such a thing if they weren’t a machine. The things traveling taught a guy.

“Yeah, let’s not demo that one.”

"I figured. The good thing is that out of battle, it allows you to go on water and such.”

Rebecca put the Surf HM away and took out an ice blue one.

“This one is called Ice Beam. It has a chance of freezing your opponent but it doesn’t work all the time. Out of battle, it makes wonderful ice sculptures with beautiful fractals.”

justsimplespeed:

Oooo. Technology. Always a nice thing to look at until it’s in your face with a blaster in your face but the hedgehog was still quite entertained by the display.

“Okay….Back on my world we just call ‘em CDs.”

“Short for Technical Machines, these teach a Pokemon a single move.”

Rebecca took out a deep blue TM that had a small white label with the number 3 on it.

“This one teaches Surf, a rather devastating Water-type move, to your Pokemon.”

justsimplespeed:

“Uh, sure? If ya don’t mind that is.”

It worked, clearly. He had almost forgotten about the mysterious TMs too.

“No problem, hang on.”

Rebecca took off her bag and put it on the ground, rummaging through it before taking out what looked like a long CD case. She opened it with a button on the side, revealing CDs of various shades.

“These are TMs.”
