They weren’t able to keep the struggling up for long. Tiring out Mewtwo just let out an exhausted sigh. Great, captured by a trainer. The young Pokemon couldn’t help but imagine the types of punishments the scientists would use now, they’ve never been this kind of trouble before. If little one had the energy they’d be quaking in their sheet.

Rebecca wet a soft rag in the warmed water and gently pulled back the sheet, patting the little Pokemon’s face to help keep them warm.

“Y’gotta be calm, okay? You wore yourself out teleporting everywhere.”

“Til you get your strength back, I’ll take care of you. Then you can go home, alright?”

smallestclone:

Slowly poking their head out to watch the Human leave the room. Mewtwo had no intention of just resting. The moment the other was out of the room the Pokemon tried everything they knew to do. Nothing they did worked so they started trying to brute force their moves into working. Struggling they only further strained and hurt their self.

Rebecca came back in with a bowl of warm water and put it on the nightstand before realizing what was happening.

“Sweetie, please. Calm down.”

smallestclone:

Laying their head back down all they could do was wait for the heaving fit to pass. Catching their breath they tried to send a message out to the Human but found something was very wrong. Psychic, teleport, telepathy, nothing was working the way it should. At a loss of what to do Mewtwo slowly wiggled their way further into that sheet to try and hide. If they can’t see the Human than she couldn’t see them right?

“Alright then.”

Rebecca gently pulled the warmed sheet over them more, intending to let them rest for a while. She got off the bed and carefully moved them to her pillow, tucking them under the blanket for extra warmth.

“I’ll check on you in a half an hour, alright? With how dizzy and sick you must feel, it’d be a bad idea to move around. Rest for now.”

smallestclone:

Out of whack or not the Mewtwo felt that. They froze at first but once the Human’s hands were gone they started looking around. Not a good idea considering how dizzy they still were. It was enough to make them dry heave.

Rebecca sat back down on the bed, looking worried for the little Pokemon.

“Careful. Lay back down and close your eyes. It’ll help.”

“You were really out of it earlier, teleporting all over the place. Will you be alright?”

smallestclone:

The Pokemon didn’t notice what the Human said. Their head still hurt and their senses were completely out of whack. Doing their best to cover their eyes the little one curled up and let out a small groan.

“Ah…”

Rebecca got up and turned off her lights before going back over and gently turning them on their side so curling up would be a bit easier.

smallestclone:

Without so much of a titch the young experiment laid there. The only indication they were even still alive being the small rises and falls of their chest. After hours like this their little head started moving slightly, it seems they were beginning to wake up.

Rebecca had slipped into a light doze after about an hour, looking sleepily at her little patient before quietly speaking.

“Are you alright, little one?”

smallestclone:

Other than some slight, occasional shivering there wasn’t much of a reaction from the young clone. It was almost as if they were nothing more than a lifeless doll.

She carefully bandaged the wound, making sure to gently pat it down with cold water before doing so.

When the sheet wasn’t warm anymore, Rebecca carefully unwrapped them and quickly got another, warmer sheet from outside and reswaddled them in the warm fabric, tossing the other one in the laundry basket.

“There we go.”

She sat down beside them, simply waiting for them to wake up.

smallestclone:

The little Pokemon was completely unaware of what was going on. They were knocked out cold from that energy outburst. Their tail contentiously falling out of the provided sheet unless held in place. Blood trickling from their second, swollen neck.

Rebecca carefully pulled back the sheet to clean their second neck, having gotten a wet rag after putting them down on her bed. She winced at how swollen it was, gently dabbing it with the cool rag.

“Ouch…”

smallestclone:

Burying their face into the Human’s shoulder the little one started to cry again. They’ve never had the best control over their powers but this was something they’ve never experienced before.

The teleporting and random shots of energy reached a peak before just stopping completely. That blue aura of energy about the Pokemon and Trainer suddenly cutting off. Mewtwo’s tail unwrapping from around her waist as the young one’s body went completely limp. Other than some very light breathing there wasn’t a sound coming from them.

Rebecca yelped before falling right on her rear end, recognizing the red roof of her home.

“Holy hell…”

Rebecca did her best to put the little Pokemon’s tail back in the sheet to keep them warm and looked for her balcony to slide off onto. She quickly scooted over and carefully slid down, keeping a secure grip on the little one in her arms.

“There we go…”

She slid open the glass door, thankful she kept it unlocked the majority of the time. Rebecca promptly went straight into the bathroom to get the first aid kit. There was blood seeping through the sheet and it worried her.

smallestclone:

Mewtwo shook and whimpered in the Human’s grasp. If they were holding them too tight they didn’t notice. The small Pokemon did their best to concentrate, focus like they were told but it only seemed to make the teleporting accelerate and become more erratic. This process was straining and it hurt.

Rebecca cursed under her breath, still holding onto the little Pokemon as she squeezed her eyes shut. She didn’t need to see that they had just nearly fallen from cliff.

“It’ll be okay… shh… Breathe, little one. Breathe.”

She softly hummed a lullaby under her breath, her eyes still shut tight.
