‘I don’t want to knock your head.’

Lowering their arms, Mewtwo just hovered there  Slowly rotating in the air.

‘I can’t touch anything now. It’ll all hurt.’

“If I remember correctly, the way I helped with that was to wrap you in a warm blanket. D’ya think you’d be alright with that again?”

Rebecca got up after scooting away from the little Pokemon to make sure she wouldn’t bump into them by accident.

smallestclone:

Grabbing the spot and letting out a little whine. Mewtwo started to float in the air, that light blue glow surrounding them.

‘That hurt. It feels like before now.’

“I’m sorry, sweetie… Here, knock on my head to make us even, okay?”

She lowered her head and closed her eyes, ready to take whatever the little Pokemon hit her with.

smallestclone:

While they’ve been enjoying the Human’s pets since getting here. This time however the contact sent a jolt right through them. Making the Pokemon jerk back in reflex. Just like back before their overload.

Rebecca immediately pulled her hand away.

“Whoa, sorry about that, sweetie.”

smallestclone:

Power switch? Wasn’t that the thing she pushed on walls sometimes? Closing their eyes helped them try to picture it. The Pokemon’s breathing finally slowed down back to normal. A few moments later that blue glow around the berry filled basket vanished and it was free of Mewtwo’s mental grip.

There was a small thunk as the basket hit the ground, thankfully none of the berries splattered from the small impact. Rebecca’s burned hand was still trembling as she moved the basket to the side, gently petting the little Pokemon’s head with a smile.

“Good job, sweetie. You did it perfectly.”

smallestclone:

The Pokemon had to take a few minutes to remember how to do this. It seems like it’s been so long since they’ve had their powers. Every so slowly they set the berry filled basket down on the ground.

Now to release it and… Now to release it and… Mewtwo couldn’t shut it off. They started hyperventilating, thinking they were about to have their powers go crazy like before they lost them.

Rebecca gently pulled the basket down to just centimeters from the ground, kneeling down in front of the little Pokemon with a soft smile.

“Try to relax, little one. Think of it as a power switch labelled on and off.”

“Relax and breathe.”

smallestclone:

The Pokemon stayed frozen for a couple minutes. Slowly they peaked out from behind their hands. When they saw that familiar blue glow on the basket and berries. Mewtwo was dumbstruck. Looking back and forth between the trainer and the mid air mess, they had no idea what to do now.

Rebecca sat there for a moment before snapping her fingers with an idea. She stood up out of the way of the basket and turned it over in mid air, gently pushing the scattered, floating berries back into the basket.

“There we go. No harm, no foul.”

smallestclone:

The Pokemon noticed but not in time to jump out of the way. Especially with that bandaged hand making them have to crawl on just three limbs. Mewtwo yelped and instinctively raised their hands in front of their face to protect their self. But strangely the berries and the basket never came.

Rebecca vaguely wondered what the little Pokemon had yelped for before looking up. The expression on her face could only be described as ‘Holy crap’.

“Uhh… so your powers are back?”

smallestclone:

Mewtwo hopped down to the ground. Figuring that’d make things easier for them. Sitting on the grass and watching as the Human tended to her hand. The Pokemon was oblivious to pretty much everything else.

When she was done wrapping her hand, her head bonked the post when she leaned back, forgetting the basket of Cheri berries was precariously perched on it. The basket wobbled before tipping over, the former champion unaware of the danger.

smallestclone:

Mewtwo had no idea what she was talking about. Keeping quiet they kept on picking berries. Doing their best to be careful the Pokemon picked up their pace somewhat.

Rebecca worked quietly until the basket was full of Cheri berries and the trees were done with the week’s harvest. She balanced the basket on the orchard’s fence, going into the bag attached to the post for disinfectant and bandages.

She pulled her now reddened and irritated hand out of her pocket and dabbed the worse spots with the disinfectant, sitting against the post to wrap her hand in the bandages.

smallestclone:

Mewtwo’s head drooped and the stopped picking. Instead focusing on hiding the their hand.

‘didn’t want you to know.’

“Well, once we get inside, we’ll match.”

She didn’t want to reveal what Cheri juice did to her skin just yet, not wanting to freak the little Pokemon out.
