“Undella? I’ve read a lot about it in those vacation magazines. It seems that it’s one of the popular vacation spots people go to during the summer.”
“Yep, that’s Undella. There’s tons of people around in the summer but at least it isn’t freezing. I can’t say the same for the winter, though.”
“Now that I think about it, where in Unova do you live actually? I keep on talking about Hoenn, but I practically know nothing of Unova besides the things I’ve heard about it.”“
"I live in a town called Undella, it’s situated right on a bay, actually. So it can get really cold during the winter. It’s a peacefully little town, I guess.”
“Hoenn’s weather is tropical, so there isn’t much rainfall. Except around Route 120. It always raining around those parts. But, the sun shines most of the time. And when you really want to enjoy summer, you should visit Dewford Island.”
“Oh gosh, that sounds nice. It gets cloudy more often than not in the town I live in so I’d more than welcome the sun.”
Rebecca made a mental note to visit this Dewford Island when she had the chance.
“I knew it~” Ruby almost chirped when saying that. “I’ve heard a lot of stories about Unova being cold during the winter so I guess they’re true.” He putted his hands in his pockets as he continued to lead the way. “But then again, Hoenn is too hot during the summer.”
“Oh yes, indeed. They’re very true, unfortunately for us locals.”
So Hoenn had the opposite problem, how appropriate.
“It fluctuates in Unova. Sometimes it’s too hot and sometimes it snows. The weather’s really just nuts.”
Ruby winked a playful eye at the girl. “Alright, let’s get going then.” He stated, starting to lead the way to the restaurant. “If you don’t mind me asking, but where do you come from anyway? It sounds like it snows a lot in the region where you come from. If I may guess, I’m thinking about either Sinnoh or Unova.”
“Unova, actually. It snows a ton up in the more northern cities and towns and it gets really cold in the winter. Nice guess.”
Rebecca followed behind him, oddly being able to hear some sort of music in her head.
Weird.
“Ah~ So you’re one of those people who’s trying to avoid winter by coming to Hoenn, huh?” Ruby laughed amused. “Well, we get that a lot during winter so I could have guessed it.” The noirette thought for a moment, trying to think a good place where they could go. “I know a good restaurant that serves really good food for quit a reasonable price. We can go there if you want.”
“Yeah, it kinda stinks when half the towns you regularly visit are covered in tons of snow. Sometimes I can accidentally trip and end up buried in the stuff. Then I can stand up and still be buried.”
The trainer chuckled for a moment, as she was rather short in stature and proud of it.
“Sounds great, I’d love it.”
“Oh, are you visiting Hoenn then or did you just moved in here?” Was Ruby’s curious question. “Either way, what do you want to eat? I know various of places where we can go to.”
“Just visiting for a few days. I heard this was a tropical region so I came for a vacation from the winter.”
Rebecca looked thoughtful for a moment before responding.
“I guess I don’t really have a preference for anything. Whatever you think is best.”
“Of course you can join me. How about we go eat something first? I’m getting kinda hungry now.”
“Sounds like a great plan. Do you know of the local places around here? I’m sort of new to this region so I don’t know my way around.”
“I’m doing fine actually. Thanks for asking. I’m just looking for people I can hang out with for a while.”
“I’ve got some time to kill. Mind if I join ya?”
“Wow, another newcomer! Hey, what’s up? The name’s Ruby. It’s nice to meet you!”
“Nothin’ much. My name’s Rebecca. It’s very nice to meet you too, Ruby. How are you?”
