“It’s not even like… that kinda tired either. I just feel… drained. Exhausted?” He couldnt really quite explain it. He leaned into her hug anyways. “Where’s this omurice, I’m hungry.”
“Aah, I see. Maybe having something to eat’ll help then!”
She softly chirped, gently leading him down to the food and immediately putting the plate in front of him with utensils.
“I mean, maybe? I dunno, I dont exactly dream or anything, so… I dunno.” Thats the only answer he really had for it though, why else would he be not remembering things like that? It was too strange.
“I’m sure.” But he’d lean into the touch in his hair, sighing slightly, stuff like that might make him fall back asleep. But he forced his eyes to stay open, glancing back over at the offer.
“Mmhm, please.”
“Weirdest sleepwalker ever, but I love ya all the same. I just don’t want you to sleepwalk right down the stairs and get seriously hurt.”
She let out a soft breath of relief before moving over to her bag to take out the package of dango she brought with her and gently handed them over.
“Here you go, Rai.”
Then Rebecca carefully adjusted the blanket around his shoulders so he could get up and at least sit down on his bed to eat.
“…Maybe I was sleepwalking?” Rubbing at his face one more time to remove sleep from his eyes, Rai would shift to sit them down to sit a little more comfortably, even if it was just on his bedroom floor. At least it was clean today.
“Really, I’m fine. I just feel really sleepy is all. Kinda achy, but its just in my shoulders, my head feels fine. I’m okay. I promise.”
“Sleepwalking…”
She didn’t sound like she believed it somewhat, but accepted the answer nonetheless, getting up to get the blanket from his bed and gently wrapping it around his shoulders.
“Alright, if you’re sure.”
She ran careful fingers through his hair for a moment, brushing away his bangs from his eyes before speaking again.
“…Hm? Was I? When did you get here? I feel like I just woke up…”
Rai was fine, at most he looked tired, as if he had used up a lot of energy. Rubbing at his eye a little more there would be a small yawn. “I’m okay. I was just in bed?”
“You didn’t even remember your nickname, Rai. You didn’t remember me, you had to ask if I knew about shadows and Personas, and then you just fell over unconscious…”
It was quite clear that she was incredibly worried that he had gotten a head injury somewhere. Her touch was very gentle as she inspected his head and face, peering over her glasses at his eyes to make sure his pupils weren’t messed up. They seemed to be okay…
“…You’re sure you’re okay, Rai?”
That sentence was soft, full of worry, and nearly inaudible if Rebecca hadn’t been close to him.
It takes a few moments before he starts to move again, with a small groan and, in fact, a sleepy sort of yawn.
“Becca, why are you yelling?”
“Cause you were talkin’ like you didn’t remember stuff or me and then you fell over!”
She had lowered her voice now, but it was no less worried as it was before. She carefully pulled away from Rai and gently cupped his face to look him over, trying to see if he had hit his head somewhere, still kneeling on the ground with him.
“Did you hurt your head before I found you? Do I need to get the ice pack?”
