@deafenedchampion liked for a starter !

“…I called my boyfriend back home last night. I’m… I’m going home once all this is over.”

“I don’t blame you. I called mine too, I promised I’d come home after this. He’s really worried. And honestly? I think people’ll understand if we go home early.”

❛  —— given the severity of our recent … losses … it’s safe to speculate that we cannot afford to waste any more time on devising plans that don’t seem plausible . . . any further causalities or failures will undoubtedly invoke the wrath of the any person who was close to the victims

her mind immediately wanders to the sight of scout’s family and jaeha’s friends , all anguished , fraught with grief , stricken with horror at the untimely demise of their loved ones . .  demises that could’ve been prevented had they thought things through more carefully . but there was no use in dwelling on that now . they were gone , and they had to do something

❛ … but , it’s obvious we’re running out of options here . we can only continue trying to save people for so long … until people start giving up … or until there’s no one left …   there’s also the present issue of their own kind working alongside neet neet …

“But then there’s also the issue of shooting down plans would definitely work, but then the original doesn’t work. What would happen then, Chitanda-san?”

She softly replied, her bells chiming as she turned to Eru. Her sapphire eyes were dull tonight, both from four years of exhausting college work, and from the recent happenings. She just wanted to graduate intact and go to Waseda.

“We’re definitely running out of options. It… might sound cold of me, but I’ve learned that you can’t save absolutely everyone. Trying to will only exhaust us faster and lead to mass apathy.”

She knew that all too well, having nearly fallen into it herself. When she accepted that not everyone could be saved, she was much happier with her life and could work that much better.

“Delaying this… onryo with tags will give us time to bring in permanent solutions and try them one by one.”

@hyoukan

“I’m not sure how they’re expecting to succeed if they shoot down ideas without even considering if they’ll work or not. Purification is a perfectly valid idea and even a temporary lapse in bullshit can give us time to actually think things through.”

Her complaint was quiet, in Japanese. She had gotten rather irritated at what had happened before, the shrine bells on the ends of her braids chiming softly.

mitsuisms:

She didn’t really care for this event, nor this game. Certainly not this event, however, but as junior representative, it was…. imperative that she attend. Mitsu already kept to herself as it is– considering she didn’t really CARE for anyone at this school, aside from Nobu. It wasn’t that she was bitter… she just didn’t care too much at all. So when this little game of TRUTH or SLAP ( kind of STUPID if you ask her ) popped up… she was suckered into playing it. Of course.

Mitsu had not been paying much attention to the rest of the crew– as she found herself staring downward at the sand and sea. It was boring, this game. The brunette was an open book, there wasn’t anything you couldn’t ask her about.. even if it hurt, she did always respond to the inquiries. A sigh left her lips at the notion, eyes peering over towards the other girl, of which she had tuned in just in time– as her own name was called.

      A risk huh? Something more….?

“Yeah, I guess.” Came her response, though she had no intentions of explaining further. “A lot of times. Though, the reasoning and situations aren’t ANY of your business.” And with that, the woman merely turned away, as the question brought up quite the sore spot in her mind… she wasn’t about to venture there.

Tapping another woman on the shoulder, the brunette let out a sigh as she waited to gather the other’s attention. Once she had it, she stated her question, “Rebecca-san ( @deafenedchampion ) – would you ever place yourself in danger to allow others to be free? Even in… a situation like this one? Though if this has been asked by someone else before, I wouldn’t know. I’m not paying attention.”

“Eh?”

She hadn’t expected anyone to ask her something at all, slowly lowering her psychology textbook and blinking her sapphire eyes. She pulled her headset onto her ears, just in time to hear Mitsu’s question, bells quietly chiming on her braids.

“Place myself in danger to… No. I have someone waiting for me back home.”

She bit her lip before shaking her head, bells chiming again.

“I’m not… particularly attached to any one here with the exception of maybe one person. I don’t see myself doing that, honestly.”

She turned to her fellow blond without any hesitation, very gently tapping his shoulder to get his attention. When she had it, she quietly asked her question.

“Togami-kun, (@malchancevilain) do you like being at this college at all? Or would you have rather applied to, for example… Sodai or Todai?”

A simple one, she knew she had greatly reconsidered her choices in colleges lately, doubly so with what had been going on lately.

’…are you fucking kidding me?’

Rebecca stared at her phone, having taken it out while she was reading a book under a beach umbrella. Irritated, she snapped her phone shut and tossed it back in her bag, going back to her novel. She couldn’t hear a damn thing while she was reading, as her headset was also in her bag, and that was the way she liked it.

She ignored the growing panic with ease. If NeetNeet couldn’t be bothered to wait until they all got back to campus, or even guarantee the one they chose would be the one to actually live, the blonde couldn’t be bothered either.

She was so tired and honestly was looking forward to graduation. At least she had a place waiting back home. Yosuke was waiting and worried far more than should be healthy. She had reassured him she was fine and would be coming home right after graduation on the dot, she promised.

Exams and finals were delayed for a mandatory beach trip?! How was she going to keep her visa if she couldn’t take her exams?! Rebecca could feel the panic rising in her chest.

…Maybe she should just take the visa revoke and go home? But that would reflect badly on her record and she’d never be able to get into a university in Japan at this rate!

She equally did and did not want to go home, and panicking was doing her no good. Anyone approaching would find a curled up hoodie on a beanbag chair in the dorm lounge.

Where were you at the time of death?

“Wh-really? I’m 95% sure I was doing class assignments at the time of the first two, and I was in class for Narukami’s and on an psych assignment binge Chitanderu’s. I need to keep up my grades so my visa isn’t revoked.”

Do you have any personal relations with the victims thus far?

“While Narukami looks almost exactly like someone I knew back home, I don’t know him personally, nor any of the victims. I feel bad that I wasn’t able to help with Chitanderu’s, but would anyone want the help of someone who had been been awake for several days and could barely walk right? I mean really.”

Have you written / posted on the gossip wall? If so, what?

“I have not and I refuse to. I’ve only looked at it in case there’s something significantly important. However, I’ve been unable to do that recently because someone had the bright idea to induce massive eye strain by overlaying shittons of text over what was already there. So I haven’t looked at it in a couple of days.

If anyone has anything to say about me, however, they can tell me to my face. Shittalking people under the cover of anonymous writing is cowardly and I doubt I’ll hear worse than what I had to deal with back home.”
