“So how have things been going? I heard the other kids are having a hard time with stuff.”

The senior softly intoned, her headset in place while her roommate was in the dorm with her. She sipped at her coffee, finally able to relax for once now that her latest assignment was handed in.

“I think the deans are getting a kick outta this… America didn’t have enough scholars or people of high society at that time period to make a college larger than a small schoolhouse. They barely made ends meet because of the high taxes from Britain. They were still just colonies. The war later that century didn’t help matters.”

With a grumble, Rebecca put the history book back, annoyed that she wasted valuable study time on something that was clearly fictional.
