He felt whoever it was coming closer and soon moving back, unsure of what she just did. He tried to feel around for whatever she left behind and his hand landed on a berry, slowly pulling it towards him as he managed to sit up.

Sniffing it a moment, he soon took a bite out of it and chewed, the tip of his tail twitching slightly, …..thank you..

As he went ahead and ate the berry up, he had noticed how she did back away from him and allowed him his space, was this human different? But he felt the energy of a pokemon nearby, a Vaporeon, his features softening. The vaporeon he felt nearby reminded him of one of the clones that were with him before, missing those that he’d let go. He shook his head though and ate up the berry, using his psychic to levitate another.

“You needed it.”

Was all she said as she felt along the wall for crystals. It was still a bit dark so she couldn’t see very well, the sudden light from before messing up what little vision she had in the dark. She ended up accidentally bonking her head against a crystal as big as her fingers. She knelt down to pick it up, her head had cracked it off the wall.

“Two more then. I wonder if my head’ll knock the next two off as well- Triton, stop laughing at me.”

The Vaporeon seemed to be snickering under his breath but quieted when Rebecca gave him an annoyed look.

Metwo didn’t respond at first, he was trying to cope with the pain. When she asked about him though, why did it concern her? I…I will be alright…but please…do it quickly..and leave..

If only he could move better though. Slowly, he tried to walk forward with a bit of a limp, unaware of what direction he was going. But he winced once more and fell to the ground, another thud was hurt. This time, a bit of his tail could be in plain sight, the pokemon struggling to get up again.

“I will, I promise. I just need to find some.”

Rebecca blinked at the bit of tail before putting her backpack on the ground, going through it and getting out a few Oran berries and a cloth. She went over and placed them near where she saw his tail before backing away as carefully as possible.

“Here.”

Once that was done, she went back to inspecting the walls for crystals. Triton trotted beside her, ready to cling to her leg again if he wanted to.

He felt a very distinctive emotion now radiating off the human and the pokemon; fear. Thats what he was going for alright and kept his power into the crystals, making sure they made more noises and shadows.

How he could still manipulate the crystals to his liking to scare off those that wandered into his cave, it worked each and every time. There was no possible way that this could mess up. That…till he moved one of his legs onto some loose rocks. Before he could catch himself with his own psychic energy, the pokemon slipped and fell to the ground, a heavy thud ringing out through the cave.

The shadows on the walls and the noises soon stopped as the sudden thud was heard, making Mewtwo actually cry out in pain. Oh how he wished he could see, thus preventing this from happening. But he grunted and laid on the stone floor, trying to get himself up to no avail.

Rebecca winced at the loud noise, pulling off her headphones to save her ears. Sometimes she hated echoes with a passion. When the echoes died down, she put her headphones back on so she could hear again.

“Ugh, ow. I hope who or whatever just made that sound is alright. Even if it’s the monster that lives in this place.”

Rebecca pried Triton off her leg and continued into the cave, making sure to look carefully at the walls for any crystals she could take.

What he was hearing from this human, the townsfolk were talking about him. Then again, he did try to ‘scare’ them to keep them away. He had good reasons for it, anyone would be certain, but should he try with this human.

The further he walked into the cave, he soon felt the smooth surface of the crystals the human was looking for, suddenly…getting an idea. He turned towards the crystal and his eyes started to glow, implementing his psychic powers. With the power of his energy and the crystal combined, it soon started to make an eerie noise, followed by what looked to be possibly shadows that bounced off the walls.

Rebecca blinked before looking into her crystal guide. Noises weren’t supposed to be normal for crystal caves. Or shadows on the wall.

“Alright, that’s not normal.”

“But we came here to accomplish this mission and nothin’s gonna stop us.”

She shut her book with a shiver.

“We really need to find some crystals and fast. I don’t wanna get killed by some cave monster. Triton, can you find any?”

Rebecca looked to her Vaporeon companion and slapped her forehead. Triton had curled up around her leg and was clinging.

“Triton, please.”

He heard voices…he wasn’t alone. It seemed to be out of habit that he’d look up to try to ‘see’ who it was, the energies he was sensing didn’t lie to him. A human and a pokemon…a trainer.

Another one that came to probably find him and catch him, but this one mentioned of crystals. He remembered that the cave had them, something he did like looking at, before that happened. He knew the crystals were further into the cave, into the area he stood at right now. Slowly moving himself, he ran his hand against the cave walls to help guide him further, perhaps out of the way of being spotted.

“Triton, do you see any yet? We’re far enough in that we should’ve seens some by now.”

“Vaporrrr~”

“Don’t you ‘Vaporrr~’ me. I know you can see further ahead than I can.”

“I remember the townsfolk saying there was something in here. I wanna get some crystals and get out before that something finds us. I don’t wanna get injured or worse, killed.”

Rebecca stumbled on a rock before regaining her footing, sighing in relief. She was getting more clumsy every day.
